"Speed Racer" In Tight Leather Pants?

Maybe. The Wachowski Brothers -- hoping to regain some of the mojo they lost in delivering the Matrix trilogy -- are now tackling the classic TV anime series "Speed Racer." Tom Cruise was once the obvious choice and a few years ago Vince Vaughan pitched a version with himself as Speed's mysterious archrival/brother Racer X. It will include Speed's family, Trixie, etc., but no word on whether they'll include the chimp. And the Wachowskis insist it'll be family friendly.
